Tidying the house a bit..
By Kenval, Sunday 28 May 2006 à 15:42 :: World Of Warcraft
Well we thought it was about time that, since we are killing Onyxia and Ragnaros on a regular basis, that we go plug the holes in our "bosses killed" repertoire.
So off we trundled into Zul'gurrub Saturday afternoon with a big red snake-godthing firmly between the crosshairs, and a clutch of minions in the way. motivation was high, and we blitzed the bosses in short order, no wipes and minimal dead which left us standing on Hakkar's island a few short hours later.
Clearing up to Hakkar was a bit different, and ofcourse it wouldnt be a proper Army of Darkness run if we didnt wipe once, so we pulled "a few" trash mobs and were promply left admiring how nice the sky was at the particular point in the zone. Never mind, we picked ourselves back up and charged straight up to the top. And it was there, standing before that false god, that we realised that we didnt have a clue how to beat him... oh well, lets attack anyway...89% wipe.
Stand up, dust off, invite Donin to the raid who can tell us what we should be doing, and go again....60%, better, we now have an idea of whats going on and how to beat the mouldy old git..
the next few tries see us reach 41% and an agonising 17% before seeing us go on our 5th attempt. just over 8 minutes later, and a near perfect attempt with only 1 death sees us standing triumphantly standing over our supper (apparantly it tastes like chicken, who'd of guessed it).

Congratulations to Vranica on a shiny new Soul Corruptor Necklace, Meugg on the Heart of Hakkar, and myself for winning an evil red Hakkari Manslayer.
