Tidying the house a bit..

Well we thought it was about time that, since we are killing Onyxia and Ragnaros on a regular basis, that we go plug the holes in our "bosses killed" repertoire.

So off we trundled into Zul'gurrub Saturday afternoon with a big red snake-godthing firmly between the crosshairs, and a clutch of minions in the way. motivation was high, and we blitzed the bosses in short order, no wipes and minimal dead which left us standing on Hakkar's island a few short hours later.

Clearing up to Hakkar was a bit different, and ofcourse it wouldnt be a proper Army of Darkness run if we didnt wipe once, so we pulled "a few" trash mobs and were promply left admiring how nice the sky was at the particular point in the zone. Never mind, we picked ourselves back up and charged straight up to the top. And it was there, standing before that false god, that we realised that we didnt have a clue how to beat him... oh well, lets attack anyway...89% wipe.

Stand up, dust off, invite Donin to the raid who can tell us what we should be doing, and go again....60%, better, we now have an idea of whats going on and how to beat the mouldy old git..

the next few tries see us reach 41% and an agonising 17% before seeing us go on our 5th attempt. just over 8 minutes later, and a near perfect attempt with only 1 death sees us standing triumphantly standing over our supper (apparantly it tastes like chicken, who'd of guessed it).

Hakkar just after death

Congratulations to Vranica on a shiny new Soul Corruptor Necklace, Meugg on the Heart of Hakkar, and myself for winning an evil red Hakkari Manslayer.

Raids sign up for MC1, Onyxia and BWL

Hello guys, we are now using a new system to sign up. This system have been made to help us in creating list of people for a raid, directly through the web, and not with a simple pix on the forum like we used before.

http://raids.thearmyofdarkness.com

To be able to sign a raid you need a forum account. You will use the same login/password on the raids page. Before sign any raid, add your character through the "profile" page.

Answer all the fields

And click on "add character"

To sign use the small pix on the left of the raids. It will put you in queue untill the officer move you into a group MC1 is still under invite only.

If you have any questions about this, post on forum.

A monday in AoD

Its been planed since last wednesday, we been working a lot on it (thx to all the people gathering stuff), we were ready.

The night started with the slain of Onyxia. We used MacFrenzy as MT this time for it. It went ok with a special good job from Zaharia, Nimlock when the MT died at 10% around, the healers ... well all the lads actually !

Seems we been slow on onyxia, coz another guild already gave the head, so we couldn't get a buff. Hell, buff are for paladins, we don't need such things. So we went into MC after a small break of 10min in ogrimmar. We manged to kill domo 45min, doing all the way in a safe manner, pulling even when it wasnt needed "just in case". Domo dead, we ran back to Ragnaros. Giving away FR pots, flask, heal pots, mana pots... geeeeeeeezzzz so many things prepared, to everyone, equiping our FR gears, we started the wipes. First one at 30%, not bad, now we know a bit more about what to do. Second one, 9%, WTF !. Third one 7%, yes, Ragnaros, everyone could see the fear in your eyes. Rebuffing, getting a hunter to replace one missing member (Thx a lot Sithirz, im glad you came to this) Ragnaros died as it was intented. Thanks a lot AoD for this wonderfull run. First true attempt, first kill.

This wouldnt be possible with all the work from our Members. I'm very proud to be one of your officers.

Finaly, we have arrived...!

Yeee baby!
After a long hard journey that lasted 4 weeks, the brave adventurers of our second Molten Core raid managed to reach the evil flunky of HE-WHO-HOLDS-TIER II LEGS. While the ride was bumpy and filled with peril (not to mention the evil demons of the internet that kept eating up our warlocks every step of the way), we did it and I hope that every one there was as proud of the accomplishment as I am. While we didn't really have time for a serious attempt at that point, it is a strong indicator that our raid is maturing and steadily acquiring more experience and potential. Let's all do our best and make sure that Domo is dead meat next week :)

"On, on, on cried the leader at the back,
we're galloping through these blodied hills and into the waiting trap..."

Rock on.
