While the cat is away...

...the mice go for new shiny purples. After heeding my psychologist's advice, I decided to take a small break from reality and get wild in the woods (rumors of lecherous liver destroying escapades are mere slander, I assure thee). Thankfully, the rest of the gang didn't follow my lead and kept working hard towards defeating new stuff and enhancing out trophy case.

After realising that our rogues had become considerably decent at interrupting RoS (one-shot FTW!), it was time to tackle the nefarious Mother Shahraz and her den of vice (oooh yeah priestesses of Delight babeh!).

As I said at start, I wasn't there to witness the sweat and toil of the floorwiper team that had the unique privilege of tasting that particular floor first, but from the idle banter in /g it appears that making the relevant resistance gear was actually harder than the encounter itself. Our subsequent visits there have confirmed this. Dunno why, but apparently Blizzard has a knack of making bosses that drop tier shoulder be dead easy. Maybe they are trying to fix their karma for all those "Chromaggus without a decent decursive mod" encounters we had to endure in times of yore :)

Anyhow, true to form, the keelshot (by Donnin):

The Pain is only Beginning!

... especially after people started to seriously threaten me for not updating our glorious main page. Unfortunately, the Essence of Sloth sought refuge in my undead corpse after witnessing the brutal pwnage of its three sisters, Suffering, Desire and Anger and I seriously slacked in keeping our front page up to date :) Still, better late than never.

Frankly speaking, RoS wasn't an easy fight for us, much like anything else that requires decent co-ordination, paying attention to raid warnings, not lagging, etc. Also, it has an annoying learning curve, while 20 people die in droves patiently waiting for 5 key spots to get to the bottom of things. Still, even 98% attempts were more heartening than our first encounters with this boss, where a half crazed, half asleep raid realised that couldn't conceivably get past the gauntlet-style trash.

However, any shortcomings that may have on co-ordination and rapid assimilation of tactics, we make up with eagerness and stubborness. After paying a second fresh visit, we soon got the fight under control, fixed the interrupt/reflect rotations, and in less than 15 wipes overall the big bad heads got a bad case of the smashie smashie.

Keelshot for those that like to click on blurry things:
