While our raid team is picking up its pieces from our recent romantic adventures with the Blood Queen and discovering how many bad jokes people can crack around the concept of "Bite Me!", with my amazing official powers of Guildmastery I declare April to be the magic nostalgia come back month. Not only did we experience the shocking comeback of ...

but also, last night the server almost cracked under the strain of this collosal gathering of titans in ICC10 (let's not mention we wiped on airship, shall we?)

I know you think you have lives now or better things to do, but you know who you are and you can't deny the call of the grave... Even if it's in French and something like "Revenez-vous sexy gar�ons" :)

I am pretty sure that 5 odd years ago that two undead guys walked in a bar in Oggrimar and decided to actually join up with the guy that had the same idea about a guildname with them, they weren't thinking that it would last that long or go that far :) Through fire and flame, glorious achievements, broken hearts and fiery tempers we are still going on, a true army of gaming zombies!

It's mostly my fault that the frontpage is not getting updated with any semblance of frequency, but meh, there are so many places on the internet that consume my spamming time and so little of the latter. Anyhow, in case you are one of those infrequent visitors and like to check on us from time to time for old times sake, we're still here, still raiding, still recruiting (hah the pain never ends) and still carrying Nico around so he can massage our ears with his etherial laughter.

ICC 25 9/12 and moving on to mop up to Lich King this week, so that we can truly start wiping in our epic tradition. Rumors that Hoddenstraft is starting the wipe party early on his own, are grossly unsubstantiated and slanderous :)

And thus, true to guild tradition, the last leg of the expansion begins just as the dust from the latest emo nerdrage subsides. No point in dwelling on the bad stuff really, only point that matters is that we're still going strong and thanks to the tremendous effort of the current officers we're able to realistically tackle the challenges of the new instance and discover new exciting ways in smashing our faces to the floor.

Our first foray into Icecrown was filled with the usual troubles associated with patch days, instance lag, add ons not working properly, people arguing about proper tactics, bussiness as usual :) Still we managed to put on a rather good show and downed Lord Marrowgar after 4 increasingly better tries. Lady proved to be a collossal pain in the behind due to lag and people getting tired, but she has a date with the lootwhore collective on Monday :) For the moment, we'll focus on clearing the place in 10 man to getter a grasp of things and enjoy the rather hyped up airship encounter.

Yup, what the title says. It's true that this page hasn't been updated for quite some time, but frankly put, there hasn't been something worth putting here for a longer time. Thanks to the Ez Mode encounters and the new direction the game is taking, we haven't been really able to accomplish something that felt like an achievement. Yog Sharon is dead and buried and if it wasn't for Donnin's karmic debt to the MMO gods (beware the curse of Greenspike :P) we would also have a new legendary to flex our collective e-peens with.

Thankfully, there are always those that are looking for bigger challenges and pushing themselves to the limit. Thus, it was with great joy that last week, a team comprised of Matsustathis, Forcea, Sashavykos, Maedhros, Oomph, Mallec, Flamingos, Cirri, Davdi and Sadrinna managed to blitz through ToC hardmode and earn a hearty cheer from the guild chat. Hopefully more 10 man groups shall follow presently with these achievements, and we'll finally manage to shake of the post-summer/post-patch slack and move on with the 25 man hardmodes and Algalon before the big loot party at Icecrown commences. Once again, a big cheer for the conquering heroes!

...and while we can't really fathom if he was happy to see us, we were kinda giddy with anticipation for our first romantic tete-a-tete with Yoggy the Squid Vetriloquist. It certainly took some doing getting there, especially when we had to get past Mirmiron's Palace of electric & vibrating fun. We were having such a wondrous time with the little gnome and his amazing toys that we really really didn't want to get through the Spark of Imagination (aka rocket central).

Still, thanks to the dogged persistence of the almighty Raid Cow with No Fun in the Eyes (how's that for an injun name, huh?), we left the place without really paying for their repairs, proceeded to give Yoggy's parking attendant Vezzy a solid thrasing for misplacing our failboat, and arrived to tentacle city.

With only one night of wipes behind us, things look promising. We know that the encounter has been nerfed, but still, this is AoD, we manage to make milk runs look like World War III :) Pain, death, dismemberment and more await ... not to mention the massively dangerous ramifications of getting mindlinked with Lackluster or Donnin!

A study on the potency of fish...

As this raiding week comes to a close, you'll find most of us in a rather celebratory mood. Despite some glitches in raid organization resulting in cancelling one and doing a half raid on Sunday we managed to score 5 new kills in Ulduar without really sweating much (XT002, Ignis, Kologarn, Auriaya, Hodir - okay maybe the not sweating bit isn't 100% right, Ignis was a fucking sauna of pointless wipes until we got the kiting right but the rest was 1-3 shotted tops), and almost getting Thorim down (what can we do, we're old and sleep early :P). Decent progress on the 10 man front as well, with two raids knocking on Yogg Sharon's door tonight after trying him out in the weekend.

So, noble visitor, if you are an old acquaintance or kept tabs on us you'd probably expect us to still be trying to arrange vehicle passengers for Flame Leviathan or trying to figure out how exactly one can move in a vertical square for 1/8th of a semicircle (sorry for the pun Don :) ). Well, a lot of factors have contributed to this (obviously my stellar contribution to the bottom of the dps ladder), but most likely it all boils down to fish. Yup, that's true, from the moment the current administration established a mandatory free fish feast consumption policy, we transformed from zero to hero. Maybe it was the mandatory part, maybe it was the free part, or most likely it a gestalt assosiativce reaction with being hunted by angry moms with plates filled with greasy fish sticks and such (ooo er). Or maybe, we're all worshipers of the almighty penguin god.

Anyhow, awesome raiding week, hopefully only the start of a nice, smooth and challenging treck through Ulduar.

While it's true that this page hasn't been updated since the last time shadow priests actually appeared on damage meters, the guild hasn't been idle. Kept awake during the long wait by steady drama infusions, we farmed, we geared up and bidded our time. Now Ulduar beckons...

Hampered by the orthodox Easter, our kick off week wasn't that great. 8 bosses down in 10 man (although we should be clearing it today) and only Leviathan and Razorscale down in Heroic, followed by several hilarious wipes at X002 1%. It doesn't matter though, cause we're armed and ready and the next raiding week will hopefully bring significant progress.

Greetings all (shakes cobwebs and dusts main page)! It's been a rough couple of months prior to the Wrath launch, caught between the Warhammer launch, talent patch and several of our people simply running out of steam in the great race to keep real life one step behind our daily (or nightly) gaming endeavors. Regardless of the setbacks and the seemingly stagnant last few weeks, Army of Darkness is ponderously rising to tackle the new expansion!

It's great to see over 40 people online most of the prime time as well as many faces old and new popping up again after their extended hiatus. The rules have changed a bit, but the name of the game is still the same - solid PVE progress and merriment for those impaired by age and real life constraints. Even if you are long gone from WoW or AoD, don't hesitate to drop by and say hi - chances are some people (if not all) will be happy to see you.

New visitors please note: we're still levelling and re-organizing our raid group. Ergo, we're not in the recruiting bussiness yet.

An issue of bureaucracy

Athough it's pretty stale news by now, I have to actually post them here so I can slack in peace. After clearing Mother's Den of Vice, we discovered that mr. Illidan the Betrayer was rather keen on avoiding us. Instead of appearing, bending over and handing the apixxx he decided to hide behind a sinister commitee. Undaunted, and bolstered by the presence of veteran uncivil servants among us, we pressed on to the Council.

As with all things administrative, the first thing to tackle was the queue :)

I must admit that the Betrayer's plan was an excellent stonewalling tactic. By having 4 council members, handing out "I PWN JOO" certificates in triplicate just wouldn't cut it. Some tactics (-gasp-) were in order, especially concerning the care and feeding of tanks (..and the blind statement of the year award goes to Flak for the "doing great gusys" just as Dudis is eating floor).

Suprisingly tho, once the anal difficulty of organizing the pull is overcome, the fight itself is piss easy. It took under 2 hours of tries to get to a killing attempt. But wait! The shadowpriest is stil alive. This kill is not messy enough! There, fixed. BT 8/9 baby! Oneone1111!

Hell, even Akama came forth to say "w00t you are some roxx0ring haxx0rz"
